Finished this lovely Medusa piece on my wonderful client Heather. She came to me with the general concept, a few hidden gems she wanted to include, and the freedom of creativity. I love this piece because I was able to practice some more advanced skin tone techniques that I’ve been wanting to employ for quite some time. Not only that, but rhino vipers are a GENIUS addition to a Medusa piece. The neutral brownish tones of the rhino vipers sitting right next to those bright red poppies made everything that much brighter. I’m so grateful to be learning every day, and to be able to gift my clients with something pretty to represent and help heal their grief and traumas.
